Have the distances been accurately measured? They seem to be shorter than they are in practice.

All distances are measured as the crow flies, as linear distance from A to B. The distance by car may be greater than the stated distance.


How much will it cost me to use Jumblets.com?

The service is offered completely FREE OF CHARGE. There are no hidden costs.


What are the benefits of signing up?

Even if you have no use for a jumblet, it may be a good idea to sign up at Jumblets.com. The benefits include:
* Being able to follow your favorite jumblets, and receiving updates whenever something new is added to them.
* Having a personalized start page, which provides an at-a-glance overview of what's new in your favorite jumblets and across the site.
* Being able to see discounted prices.


What is a jumblet?

A jumblet is a virtual market stall, where you may present all of the things you'd be willing to sell on your terms, if you'd get the right price or the right buyer.


Why is it a good idea to have a jumblet?

We all have things at home that we'd be happy to sell, if we'd get the right price or the right buyer. However, if you sell the thing under pressure of time you rarely get the right price or the right buyer. So don't wait until you must sell!

Having a jumblet is a fun, relaxed and convenient way to let people know what you have at home that you'd be willing to sell on your terms.

Running a jumblet

For how long does each listing stay active?

The offer will stay active in your jumblet until you remove it. If you are absent from your jumblet for a long period of time, offers may be deactivated automatically.


How do I delete or change the listing for an item that is for sale?

Click the "Administrate" button in the site's header. From the dropdown menu, select "Handle offers". Alternatively, you can use the "Handle" menu on the offer's page.


How many offers may I have in my jumblet?

You may add as many offers as you wish, within reason. There is a limit of 1,000 simultaneously active offers per jumblet.


Is it possible to make certain offers available exclusively to the followers of my jumblet?

You do have the option to make certain offers available only to those who have your jumblet as a favorite jumblet. You can adjust the settings of the offer to make it exclusive permanently or for a limited time only.


May I have more than one jumblet?

Yes, you may have more than one jumblet. You may be invited by another user to be the co-owner of their jumblet. Or you can create another jumblet for your own use. This could be handy if you want one jumblet for your own creations and one jumblet for your secondhand stuff.


What am I allowed to present in a jumblet?

Jumblets.com is intended for:

* excess stuff (second-hand)
* homemade items
* homegrown goods

Buying

Does placing a bid for an item bind me to a purchase agreement?

No. You may place a bid on an item or say that you want to buy it without being bound to purchase it. In the same way, it is not binding for a seller to confirm a sale. The deal isn't considered sealed until the seller receives payment and the buyer receives the item for which he or she has paid. Jumblets isn't involved in any of the transactions. The terms of sale should be negotiated and agreed upon by the buyer and the seller.


How are the payments conducted?

We are not involved in any of the transactions. Everything must be arranged between the buyer and the seller.


I would like to buy something. How may I contact the seller?

Please click the "Contact seller" button on the offer's page.

Reviews

How and when may I review a jumblet?

You are welcome to write a review about a jumblet at any time, even if you haven't had any business interaction with the jumblet's owner. Go to the jumblet you wish to review and click the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon.


What should I do if someone posts an unfair review of my jumblet?

If your jumblet receives a review that you feel is unfair, please contact the user who wrote the review and try to settle the issue with him or her. Should the review violate any of the site's rules, please contact the support crew at Jumblets.


Why may I post only one review per jumblet?

We have chosen to allow each user to write only one review per jumblet. However, you may amend your review at any time you wish.

What is a wish?

A wish is an item that the jumblet owner wishes to buy. Each jumblet has a wish list.

The user account

How may I change my user settings?

Once you are logged in to the site, click on the cogwheel in the upper right-hand corner. There you will find the user settings.


How may I close my user account?

Please contact Jumblets and express your wish to close your Jumblets user account.


I have forgotten my password.

Simply click on the link “forgot password”. When prompted, enter your e-mail address. A link will be sent to your e-mail. Check your e-mail and click the link to be directed to a page where you will be able to reset your password.


May I choose to hide my real name?

Yes. You may change your privacy settings from "Public" to "Restricted". This means that your real name will be visible only to users who are logged in to the Jumblets site. The visitors who aren't logged in to Jumblets will be able to see only your username. If your privacy settings are restricted, this means that your jumblet won't show up in Google results searches for your name.
